From Left to Right:

"Blue Oasis", 2024, 1k Acrylic car paints and UV cured ink on stainless steel, 720 x 900 mm

“Resp”, 2024, car paints and digital prints on mild steel sheet, 720 x 900 mm

“Censa Mode”, 2024, car paint and digital print on mild steel sheet, 720 x 900 mm

These three works employ a combination of processes: industrial, artisanal, repographic, and computational. Repeated actions of application and erasure drive their emergence through sanding, solvents, sprays and squeegies, along with recursive computational techniques. Building up the surface with iterative physical and organic processes result in variants.

In "Resp.", the ground is textured using a repetitive process of car paint application and sanding. This is reflected in another textured layer, applied repographically as a UV print, using an image of the marks left by the removal of ivy on a painted black wall; a record of the recursive growth of its branches. Another layer reproduces graffiti tags, repeated actions of authors leaving a signature and built up over time.

The artistic process itself embodies these recursive loops or iterations, resulting in dynamic compositions that cannot be premeditated and emerge through repetition.”
